Scholarship for Law School. Both Pitts and Alex are first generation lawyers. Pitts’ dad worked as a well digger in South Georgia. Alex’s dad is a plumbing contractor in Atlanta. Working outside in the hot Georgia summers taught both Pitts and Alex the meaning of hard work. The scholarship is available for postgraduate research in Family Law at the University of Edinburgh Law School for a period of either (i) one year leading to the degree of LLM by research (ie by a thesis of up to 30,000 words) or (ii) for a period of three years leading to the degree of PhD (“the Degree Programme”).
